Why We Exist
At Speed Force, we believe every athlete deserves to be coached like a champion - whether you’re finishing your first sprint tri or training for a World Championship.
We started this team to give athletes structure, support, and a sense of belonging - the kind you usually only find at the elite level.
Because in our book, effort earns respect, not just results.
We celebrate the early- morning grinders, the working parents, the comeback stories, and the first-timers. If you’re putting in the work, you belong here.
Meet your coach
Hi, I’m Sam Tabor, head coach and founder of Speed Force Tri.
I got my start in the sport as a collegiate decathlete, where I learned what it takes to train smart, stay consistent, and chase long-term goals.
After college, I moved into triathlon and running - and found that the endurance community was full of incredible people who often felt like they were training alone. That’s when I realized: athletes at every level deserve coaching, encouragement, and a real team behind them.
I now coach athletes of all levels from beginners to World Championships qualifiers and I love helping people go farther than they thought possible.
Coaching style: Fun but focused. Science-informed, human -driven.
Most athletes are remote, but they’re never alone.
Communication is everything. I’m not just your coach, I’m your biggest fan.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
We’re building a different kind of coaching experience. one where the work is real, but the vibe is positive and personal.
Every effort counts. We coach and celebrate all levels.
Team first. You train with Speed Force, not alone
Smart structure. We use goals, schedule, and training zones to make a plan that works and adapts
Enjoy the ride. Big goals are great, but if you aren’t having fun then you are doing it wrong!
It all began with being inspired.
My wife signed up for a sprint triathlon and asked me to help her train. We found a program and she followed it to a T. One of the proudest moments in my life was watching her compete, passing people on the hardest climbs in the July heat, and gritting out a top-age group finish. I wanted to experience that feeling and share it with others
So a few weeks later when my dad asked me to run a marathon with him, I said YES. I experienced a closeness in our relationship through the comradery of suffering and training together and the joint celebration at the finish line. Now I was hooked on that feeling and determined to inspire others like my wife and father inspired me. Whether you are a top-age grouper or going for your first finish line, the payoff for the hard work is a joyous moment and will inspire even more people to join you.
